So much truth in this!!!! Worth the read. And with that, HAPPY FRIDAY!
"All these flowers come back on their own every year, right? I mean, that would be absolutely ABSURD if you had to actually plant all of this every year. That's not possible."
The man stood in our Annual flower field, arms spread wide, trying to process the sea of blooms surrounding him. I couldn't help but laugh with glee.
Looking at thousands of thriving flowers, it DID seem absurd.
"Actually," I said, "every single one started as a tiny seed we hand-sowed, most in our basement.
Every seedling was planted on our hands and knees.
Every bloom is hand-cut, stripped, and bunched.
Nothing is mechanized.
It's all done by hand—carefully, methodically, one seed, one plant, one stem at a time."
His jaw dropped as the sheer audacity of it all began to sink in…
Here's what I've learned after years of embracing this absurd, audacious lifestyle:
The beauty isn't in the final field of flowers.
No, the real beauty is believing that tiny, daily acts can compound into something extraordinary.
We live in a world that worships shortcuts and instant results.
But the most beautiful things? They still require dirty hands, patient hearts, and the audacious faith to plant tiny seeds… and gently steward those fragile seedlings until they reach their fruition.
So here's my question for you:
What seeds could you plant today—in your relationships, your dreams, your community—that might bloom into something beautiful?
Trust me, the world needs more people willing to do the absurd, audacious work of growing something meaningful, one small act at a time.
