The Clayton Center box office will operate on an abbreviated schedule this week. The office is open as usual today, Wednesday and Friday - April 21, 23 and 25 - from noon to 5:00pm. We will be closed for walk up sales on Tuesday and Thursday, April 22 and 24. On these days, tickets to upcoming events can be purchased online at https://www.etix.com/ticket/v/1959/the-clayton-center.

The Clayton Center will be closed tomorrow, Friday, April 18, in observance of Good Friday. We will reopen on Monday, April 21. If you need assistance with a ticket purchase during this time, please visit https://www.etix.com/ticket/v/1959/the-clayton-center

All Town of Clayton Facilities will be closed Friday, April 18, in observance of Good Friday. Closures include Town Hall/Utilities and Billing Department, Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library, Clayton Parks and Recreation Community Center and The Clayton Center.

We hope you will join us on Saturday at the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Clayton High School (10 AM), then Noelle's Homecoming Celebration Parade on Main Street (3 PM).

The Community Center will be open on Saturday, however the Library will be closed on Saturday.

The Good Friday and Easter holiday will NOT affect garbage collection. Please put your bins out as usual. If you have questions about garbage, recycling or yard waste collection, please call or text All Star Waste Services at 919-989-1562.

John Yurtin is a proud Vietnam Veteran, retired engineering manager, and a true community champion! After moving to Clayton from Ohio in 2011, he and his wife, Cheri, quickly made themselves right at home. With two children, six grandsons, and two great-grandsons (still no girls in the mix!), John stays busy with family—but that hasn’t stopped him from diving headfirst into the local community.

John's journey as a Scene Stealer began after he attended a show at The Clayton Center. He was inspired by the energy and excitement, and most importantly, the opportunity to be part of something special. Since then, he’s been a dedicated volunteer, ensuring every event runs smoothly and that every guest feels welcome.

He still laughs when reminiscing about the early days, when The Clayton Center had a very small parking lot, and he and his fellow Scene Stealers would brave the weather to direct patrons to available spots. Rain or shine, John was out there on the sidewalk, guiding cars where they needed to go!

John is also a talented musician, playing both drums and guitar since grade school. As if that isn't enough, he’s a force to be reckoned with on the softball field, playing in an over-60 league in Garner—where his team just won the league championship!

The next time you're at The Clayton Center, be sure to say hi to John—he'll likely be there, helping to make the magic happen!

The Clayton Center staff is the best! Just ask our part-time lead event staff member, Taylor Nichols, who said that her experience working on the TCC team over the past three years has been “truly fulfilling.”

Our beloved Taylor is a great asset to The Clayton Center. She jumps in and helps whenever and wherever she can, whether it’s welcoming guests or scanning tickets or house managing or moving tables and chairs. She knows that there’s never a dull moment around here and says that it’s fun to see a wedding being held in the same room where there was once a bodybuilding competition.

When she's not enjoying the music of a show here at The Clayton Center, Taylor listens to Hozier, Greta Van Fleet, or the Arctic Monkeys, and loves a good time. Thank you for the smiles and the hard work, Taylor!
