👑🐴 We’d say Max finally met royalty… but let’s be honest, he thinks he’s been king this whole time. 😄

We had the honor of grabbing a photo with the 2026 Prom King & Queen at The Barn of Coatesville—and Max made sure he was front and center for his royal moment! 📸✨

Pretty sure he’s now expecting a crown, extra treats, and maybe his own title… “King Max of Carriage Lane” has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? 👑🐴

Meet Iris 🐴✨

Don’t let her sweet face fool you—this girl runs the pasture (especially when Max isn’t looking 😉). Iris has been part of our family for the past 2 years, and just like Max, she started out as an Amish working horse.

She’s got an incredible work ethic and is as steady as they come—never gives us a hard time and always ready to do her job. A true team player through and through 💛

Iris is always first in line for breakfast and dinner (no surprise there 😄), but treats were a new concept for her at first… she’s definitely figured that out now!

Formerly known as “Babe” with her Amish family, this beautiful Percheron cross may be a little smaller than Max—but don’t let that fool you. She can absolutely give him a run for his money and pulls like an ox 💪

We hope you get the chance to meet Iris when you see us out and about—she’d love nothing more than to take you for a ride with us! 💛

Meet Max 🐴✨

Our handsome, camera-ready Percheron and the heart of Mane Event Carriages 💛

Max has been part of our family since 2013, and he’s truly grown right alongside our girls—Mady, Lilly, and Annie. Together, we’ve learned, grown, and built so many memories with this incredible horse.

His life today looks a little different from his beginnings as an Amish horse, but he’s taken every step in stride. These days, he spends most of his time enjoying the good life—keeping us on our toes by eating us out of house and home during the week 😄—and then stepping into the spotlight a couple times a month to pull brides on their special day.

And let’s just say… Max knows where the camera is 📸
We can only imagine how many homes have a photo of him hanging on their walls or sitting on their mantels.

He knows when it’s time to work—and when it’s not. Catching him in the field on his days off? Good luck! But when it’s go time, he puts on a show like he hasn’t missed a beat.

We hope you get the chance to meet Max when we’re out and about—be sure to give him a pat on the neck and let him know what a great job he’s doing 💛

We’re the Gillispie family—proud owners of Mane Event Carriages since 2013. We call Clayton, Indiana home, where we live with our three amazing girls—Mady, Lilly, and Annie.

While we each have careers outside of our business, our shared love for horses brought us together to create something truly special. What started as a passion has grown into a way to create unforgettable moments—adding timeless elegance to weddings and helping families make magical memories during the Christmas season. ✨

Giving back to our community means everything to us, and there’s nothing better than seeing the joy on people’s faces when we share our horses and what we love.
