Hello all, my name is Chasity, some of y’all may know me (&my husband) as the owners of Ace and Chase Painting and Photography, LLC. I’m here to reach out to our community for assistance, not for ourselves, but for my 21 yr old brother.
Mon Dec. 12th 2022 our family went through a devastating event that will have life long repercussions. My brother jah’Quan, a former Marine, was shot. He unfortunately suffered a GSW to the head, arm and abdomen. Quan did absolutely nothing to deserve this, and literally got out of the military to try and help his family.
we’ve went through numerous of ups and downs along this road, as he is still in the Neuro ICU at Vanderbilt . The blessing is, He is alive and with us, but the unfortunate is that my brothers life is forever changed now. He’s overcame what multiple doctors have told me (it wasn’t going to be a good outcome) and everyday amazes us how strong he is. Even though we are now finally on the right path, the beginning is just now starting. Quan currently has numerous therapies he will need for an undisclosed amount of time. (Speech, PT, OT, feeding, mental etc.) He has/ and will be having to learn everything all over again. We are currently waiting on Rehab to get him in before we can finally bring him home. As of now, we are not sure of what equipment, medical supplies he will need at home as well as his own personal bills that my family has been covering. I honestly didn’t want to do a gofundme bc my brother is NOT a charity case, but I also know he is going to need all the assistance/ support he can possibly have so we can keep up with his personal bills and expenses as well as needs. We are on day 26 in ICU (1/6/23) and counting.. but every Day is a new day!
