Thank you to Roots Down and Clarkston Community Center for hosting a fun and educational evening devoted to sustainable urban landscaping. 🌽🌲💐 And did you know that the Clarkston Community Center used to be a high school? 🏫 Now it offers community programing, including after school programs, ESL classes, a food pantry, summer camps, health fairs, career fairs, and dance classes. 💃🏾🤸🏿♀️🙋🏻♂️
At 55, my constituent was beautiful soul gone too soon. Her legacy expanding freedoms & treatment for institutionalized patients will live on in perpetuity.
Fortunately, her art works will also live on in City of Clarkston, GA Government, as well as Georgia’s Fourth Congressional District & the entire state for generations.

Hello Clarkston neighbors, I'm a Volunteer for Girl Scouts Greater Atlanta. We're holding a Parent Information meeting and would love to have your girl join us for fun games, crafts, and snacks while hearing more about what Girl Scouts has to offer.
We also need more volunteers so whether you have school-age kids or not, come hear about how you can give back and make a difference.

We are excited to be launching Re’Gen Global Peacebuilders Club on September 1st! We will meet every Thursday 6-9p Clarkston Community Center. Global Peacebuilders is for High School youth interested in justice and peacebuilding. The program will engage students in education related to peacebuilding, conflict transformation, healing justice, nonviolence and global citizenship, as well as offer mentoring and academic support. The Society, in partnership with Emory University School of Medicine, Grady Health, and the Clarkston Community Center provided complimentary health services and hormone health education to members of the community. The event focused on diabetes, obesity, and heart health.
52% of participants screened for diabetes
23% received a lipids panel
38% were evaluated for hypertension
The Society is expanding its in-person health education events to help more patients in underserved communities as well as concentrating its public health education efforts moving forward on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
