Three Hours, One City, Endless Moments

This one was different — and I mean that in the best way possible. Maggie (.chen) and Eric () officially tied the knot at City Hall a few weeks ago, but wanted something extra to celebrate — an adventure through Philly with their photographer in tow (and a few furry cameos from their cat and dog 🐾).

From cozy AirB&B moments to the hustle of City Hall, the charm of Elfreth’s Alley, and the glow of Race Street Pier — we packed a lot into three hours. And honestly? I loved every minute. Maggie and I had never met before, but after one phone call it was clear we were on the same wavelength. She told me she really wanted me to take her photos, and that alone meant the world.

We battled rain, dodged crowds, and ended up with some of my favorite portraits I’ve ever taken — a mix of spontaneity, city grit, and pure love.

Jess () was one of my band students back in the twenty-teens (when I taught the “big” kids). She joined the drumline without ever having played drums before, and I’ll never forget her asking if she could give it a try. Of course, I said yes — and from day one, she proved she had rhythm, drive, and heart.

Fast forward to now, and those same qualities shine in her relationship with Nick (.miller3495). He’s her perfect counterpart — kind, steady, and just as genuine as she is. Together, they bring out the best in each other, and seeing them start this next chapter was something special.

Their day at was beautiful — mountain views, heartfelt laughter, and a few adorable cameos from their goats and donkey (Malcolm stole the show 🐐). I even got to reconnect with some of my former students who were guests, and ended up in a few photos myself (which feels REALLY weird, by the way ).

It was one of those weddings that had it all — love, laughter, donkeys, bubbles, and the kind of energy that reminds me why I do this job.

One of my favorite parts about photographing weddings is how they FEEL. A wedding day naturally flows between quiet, intimate moments and loud, joyful celebrations — and I love letting the light follow those emotions.

I like to think of my style as a mix of “dark and airy” or “light and moody” — which sounds like it should be a contradiction, but to me, it’s exactly how a wedding feels.

Sometimes it’s golden and airy, sometimes it’s shadowy and dramatic… and sometimes it’s both within the same breath. Because that’s what love looks like — all the contrasts, all the moods, all the little moments that shift from laughter to tears and back again.

Your story deserves to look like it feels in the moment. And I promise, when you look back it’ll feel like you.

A Love Story Written in Fireworks

Some couples get sparks. Emily (.rinehardd) and Beau () got fireworks. From the first glances across the same bar, to finally saying “I do”, their story has always had that kind of magic.

They chose the most meaningful place to begin forever—Beau’s grandmother’s property, complete with rolling hills, a sweet pond, and a cozy gazebo. Not only was it beautiful, it’s where they hope to eventually build their life together.

When the night sky lit up with fireworks, it felt like the perfect reflection of their love: bright, joyful, and unforgettable.

Emily and Beau found me through Facebook, but from the start, it felt like I’d known them forever. They welcomed me in like family and trusted me to capture every spark. That’s what makes couples like these the dream.

Here’s to Emily + Beau: proof that when love starts with sparks, it can end with fireworks that last a lifetime.

One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is seeing my couples in different roles—sometimes as the bride and groom, sometimes as bridesmaids, groomsmen, or guests. It creates this amazing ripple effect of love and connection.

I had the honor of capturing Wendy as a bridesmaid for Janine and Michael's wedding a few months ago (and fun fact: I met Janine through another one of my former brides). When Wendy reached out about her own wedding day, I was thrilled—not just to capture it, but to see her step into this whole new role as the bride. 💍

Her love story with Nick began on Facebook Dating, turned official by Valentine’s Day, and found its sweetest moment when Nick proposed at Lazy Brook Park with their four kids by their side. Those same kids proudly stood as their bridal party on the big day.

Their wedding at Creekside Grove was everything they hoped for—close to family, surrounded by nature, and perfectly them.

Congratulations, Wendy + Nick! Thank you for letting me be part of your story—from bridesmaid smiles to your own wedding vows.

Rachel () and Nick () must agree, because they chose the Electric City as the destination for their wedding! With their home base in Chicago and family + friends traveling in from Pittsburgh and Connecticut, Scranton became the perfect middle ground.

What blew me away was just how many people followed them here—over 140 loved ones came to celebrate! That’s a true testament to the kind of people Rachel and Nick are: warm, welcoming, and deeply loved.

We kicked off the day at the beautiful , then headed to for a night full of dancing, joy, and the perfectly curated playlist crafted by the groom himself. Safe to say, Scranton lived up to its Parisian reputation. 😉

Rolling a Natural 20 on Love

Nicole and Sean’s wedding was one epic campaign from start to finish. After years of adventuring together in Dungeons & Dragons, Sean rolled the dice and proposed under the stars by a campfire. (Safe to say… critical success 💍🔥).

Their wedding was every bit the fantasy quest they dreamed of—complete with details like dice , lanterns, and yes… a sword to cut the cake 🗡️. Even when the day threw a curveball (a dead car battery during their send-off), they took it like true adventurers, staying cool until fate let the car spring back to life at the perfect moment so they could ride off into the night.

I don’t know if my character would be a wizard manipulating the light or a bard weaving stories, but getting to capture the magic of Nicole & Sean’s day was definitely a legendary quest. 🧙‍♂️📸🎲

There’s something extra special about photographing a wedding that feels like it could only happen here in the Poconos. 🌲 Margaret & Michael’s story is a perfect example—Michael grew up here, and when the two of them met in the middle of covid, neither expected it to lead to a ski trip proposal on a snowy mountaintop in Whistler. (Margaret definitely didn’t see that surprise coming! ❄️💍)

Fast forward to their wedding day at , and everything about it just fit. The cozy fire pits, the laid-back vibes, and the eclectic charm of the barn felt like an extension of who they are together. Surrounded by family and friends, they were able to be fully present in the moment—and those kinds of days always make for the best photos.

Here’s to love, laughter, and the kind of local magic that makes the Poconos such a beautiful place to begin a new chapter. ❤️

I don’t typically post a lot on here about my life, but as summer comes to a close I got a chance to spend a day at the beach with my most beautiful model, my wife Christina. Of course, I take every chance I can to practice and improve and she’s super supportive of that. Here’s to an awesome summer, and the beginning of the crazy busy wedding season!

Naomi ()and Bill were going to do their engagement session at the state park, but I got a message from them on the day of their session saying “I really like the idea of getting pics and around Scranton. We had our first date there and I really like your city pics.”

Don’t get me wrong, I love the state park, but an engagement session at Bartari 🤩….. YES PLEASE! Plus, we got some photos around Scranton with some creative photos with the logo .

I can’t wait for the big day on 10/25/25 .inn!

Small Weddings, Big Weddings… I Love Them All !

Some weddings pack the dance floor with hundreds of people. Others, like Nadia & Royal’s, are small and intimate — but let me tell you, the love and joy in the room still fills it to the brim.

These two met online three years ago and got engaged just this past March. They have impeccable style and somehow made every single part of their wedding day feel like them.

We started in a gorgeous suite at the in Center City, then headed to the super-charming for their ceremony. From there, we hit some Philly icons — Rittenhouse Square and City Hall — before ending the night with dinner at . And yes… they rolled up in an actual Rolls Royce from , because style points were clearly a top priority.

Small wedding, big love, unforgettable day. 💛

One of the coolest things about art—especially photography—is that it doesn’t totally matter how I define my style... it’s about how you see it.

I asked my couples and followers to describe my work, and while I didn’t get one crystal-clear answer (I’ll probably go with “A mix of cinematic and classic” but I’m still deciding 🤪), it actually helped me see my photography through your eyes.

So thank you—to my clients, friends, family, and everyone who’s supported this journey. Your words helped me realize my style does exist… even if it can’t be pinned down with just one label. And honestly, I kinda love that.
