We actually rescheduled this maternity session a couple weeks ago because the original day was rainy and dreary, and I just KNEW I wanted that dreamy, warm, golden light for these.

AND OH MY GOD DID WE GET IT.

I was literally squealing behind my camera.

The light. The glow. The beautiful parents. ALL OF IT.

My little photographer heart was so freaking happy.

Sometimes being a pain in the ass about the weather pays off. ๐Ÿ–ค

One thing I always try and do during a family session is to get Mom and Dad alone for a few pictures together.

Because I know that between raising kids, packing lunches, running everyone everywhere, and just trying to survive the week, you forget that you two were a whole love story before all the crazy.

And I think that deserves to be documented, too.

So yes, we're getting all the cute pictures of your babies. But I'm also going to make you hold hands, snuggle up, and maybe kiss a little while your kids stand there being absolutely disgusted. ๐Ÿ˜‚

My daughter told me she wanted her senior pictures to feel 70s vintage-dreamy editorial. I looked at her like a deer in headlights and told her that's basically everything I don't do as a photographer....I like bold colors, dramatic shadows, contrast and my finished photos usually have a velvety vibe to them.

It was definitely a challenge editing AND shooting completely outside of my normal style, but I think I kind of loved it. She had a vision, I had to get out of my comfort zone, and somehow, we ended up HERE.

Senior pictures donโ€™t have to look like everyone elseโ€™s senior pictures. ๐Ÿฅน

They should be exactly what that senior wants. Even if that means they become your creative director for the shoot. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

Fall Minis officially kick off THIS WEEKEND, which means I can FINALLY share what I built!

I've been keeping this little set a secret because I really wanted to wait until it was time to start shooting before showing everyone. AND IT HAS BEEN KILLING ME.

Lots of rearranging, decorating, fighting with drapery and making a complete disaster of my greenhouse butttt, HERE SHE IS!!! ๐Ÿ˜

I wanted something warm, cozy, a little moody and different from your typical fall setup.

ALSOOOO, if you've been wanting Fall Minis, YOU HAVEN'T MISSED OUT!!

I know everyone's schedules are INSANE this time of year, so I don't cram all my minis into one specific day and expect everyone to make it work.

I'm as flexible as I can be. I like to fit sessions in around everyone's busy schedules, whether that's a weekday, a weekend or whatever we can make happen!

I know, I know. It's barely October, BUT HEAR ME OUT.

I had the opportunity to photograph the ๐’๐ญ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ฌ ๐•๐š๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ฒ๐ฌ ๐’๐จ๐œ๐œ๐ž๐ซ team for a 'media day'.

Their season didnโ€™t exactly start quietly.
There were changes.
There was noise.
There were questions, disagreements and emotions.
There were plenty of reasons this team could have let everything happening around them become a distraction.

Instead, they went to work.
Theyโ€™ve fought their way through games, relearned how to play as a team, and continued showing up for one another over and over again.

And right now, theyโ€™re undefeated. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Thereโ€™s something special about getting to photograph athletes in the middle of a season like this - before anyone knows exactly how the story ends, but while theyโ€™re busy writing it.

Fall is BUSY SEASON for not only my business but my personal/mom life too. ๐Ÿ

I'm extra grateful to my clients who work with me around the clock to accommodate my busy schedule instead of just picking another photographer.

This adorable family even met me down at the park during my sons soccer practice so we could squeeze in this 'Remember Me' session. - The lighting was perfect and this sweet boy was so well behaved. ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ’›
