We are so grateful that The Well Collaborative NH has been awarded this amazing federal grant. Our award letter summed up our project very well: "The Well Collaborative NH has been awarded $821,353.60 to repurpose a historic church in Claremont, NH into a community hub offering childcare, a commercial kitchen, and public meeting space. The project addresses local economic needs by supporting working families, food-based entrepreneurs, and community programming. It revitalizes a key downtown property and strengthens the social and economic fabric of the region."
And we are grateful to First Congregational Church Claremont NH for having the foresight and faith to entrust us with a plan to preserve the building for future generations to come. Founded over 200 years ago, the church building has stood as a beacon on Pleasant St since 1835. These funds not only provide important economic stimulus to downtown Claremont but also preserve the historic landscape of Pleasant Street.
Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and the New Hampshire congressional delegation announced Tuesday that 17 grantees received over $9 million in federal funding for child care, health care, infrastructure development, and outdoor recreation.
