This evening marks the completion of the Mahope & Wondercade Cincy Garden.
We were provided a grant at the beginning of 2025. The grant was a wonderful gift from Westwood Works Mini-Grant Program. We were awarded $600 with the purpose of meeting 3 community goals:
-Connection to People — an idea or event that brings people together in meaningful ways and supports a sense of belonging and wellbeing.
-Connection to Place — an idea or event that highlights or revitalizes a physical space in Westwood.
-Connection to Purpose — an idea or event that helps people engage with what matters to them and contribute to the community.
With the money provided by the grant, we worked with Wondercade Cincy to revitalize a distressed section of our neighborhood. The money allowed us to buy tools necessary to clear overgrowth and beautify the area between our businesses. It also allowed us to purchase tables, benches, planters, mulch and other items to transform this area. It will be somewhere people can relax to take a load off after a long day. Somewhere to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee from Fable Cafe Westwood, an ice cream confection from Aubrey + Zach's Ice Cream or a drink from one of your favorite DORA locations. Most importantly, it will be a place to bring people together and celebrate the community.
