We truly believe it’s THE design element that takes any event up a notch — no matter what the venue, no matter what the budget.

We tied our corporate client’s colors together to make a statement the second guests stepped into the dinner tent to celebrate 20 years in business.

From day one this couple had a vision of what they wanted their wedding weekend to look and feel like. It was an experience from the moment guests set foot into Bay Harbor, Michigan — from the picturesque ceremony by the water to the fireworks and ferry boat send off to end the night.

Seeing everything come together exactly as Allison and Matt had envisioned their weekend to be was so special for us.

How do you incorporate the meaning behind a charitable event?

We love to find meaningful (and beautiful) ways to remind guests what the galas and balls they attend are really all about.

In this case, the Cannonball was an evening benefiting the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation, which is dedicated to the health and wellness of children in central Ohio.

Creating a natural photo opportunity with a gallery wall of framed images of kids with Blue Jackets players was an impactful touch.

This dreamy floral design created a classy yet bold backdrop for the couple's ceremony set at the foot of the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Banff, Canada.

This round ceremony arch was THE perfect mix of pampas grass and bright florals.

Can you see the Lamp Ladies welcoming these award show attendees?

This Galaxy-inspired award show + cocktail hour was held at the Music Hall, an iconic Cincinnati landmark.

We created a non-traditional award show starting with the seating.

Instead of rows of chairs we utilized high-top communal tables with elevated chairs, and soft lounge furniture seating for a more intimate, relaxed feel.

The lighting for the evening allowed guests to feel like they were celebrating under the night sky, and the linens and modern florals added that final galaxy touch. Our favorite part?

The Lamp Ladies (as we call them) also handed all of the winners their awards.

It was an out-of-this-world celebration!

💫An out-of-this-world 3-Day conference.

Who said corporate events need to be stale and stuffy? How about a Star Trek theme?

🚀We went all-in on the theme and even had a space ship command center as the stage set!

This corporate event consisted of:

– A welcome night pool party
– 2 full conference days
– And a tented final night celebration

🛸The final night celebration featured Air Star balloons that lit the way to the tent, roving Star Trek characters that interacted with guests, themed signature drinks, dramatic lighting, mod leather furniture, futuristic metallic linens, and modern floral to pull the full galactic look together.

💥And last but not least, to end the conference with a bang, a laser show!

We make it one of the BEST events ever!

After their Italian wedding was postponed in 2020, Ashley and Austin were determined to celebrate with family and friends, but this time, in their hometown of Cincinnati.

The classic, elegant wedding took place outdoors in a romantic, ivory draped tent, complete with bone carpet and a custom circular dance floor to complete the transformation.

Other key features included:
– A dramatic floral aisle runner
– An artistic floral installation suspended in the center of the tent
– Classic nude linens set with oval-back chairs
– Creatively curated food and beverage
– A high-energy, live band

It’s no secret I’m a HUGE Texas A&M fan. I can’t wait until kick off tomorrow after a long off season.

If I were designing a Texas A&M inspired event, THIS is what it would look like!



I fell in love with all things Texas A&M University on my school visit during high school. I was immediately ALL in, despite growing up in a family who preferred the rival school.

Texas A&M is a school steeped in rich tradition, and those traditions carry over to football.

My first Aggie football game was electrifying. The 12th Man Tradition (the entire student body stands the entire game waiving our towels to show support and willingness to enter to game), the yell leaders, the Aggie band—all of it sucked me in to the most amazing football watching experience.

I can’t think of a time I missed a game as a student. I would even camp overnight for tickets to the annual Thanksgiving Day game.

Living in Ohio surrounded by Buckeyes, Aggie fans are far and few between, but I proudly waive my A&M flag outside my house during football season and NEVER. MISS. A. GAME, even if it means watching the game on my phone on a ride at Disney World.

It is true, my team hasn’t won a natty since 1939, but as a true Aggie who bleeds maroon, I never give up hope and know our time will come! In the meantime, Saturday's are full of excitement and joy watching my team take the field.

Having a good plan of attack will keep you on track and ensure you can enjoy the planning process… especially the end result—the event itself!

Here are our a few key points to help you approach and break down your event budget:

— Begin with the end in mind by setting your do-not-exceed number.

— Consider the elements of your event that are most important to you.

— Break down your working budget into percentage buckets.

— Make careful choices throughout the planning process, recognizing that if you over-spend in one bucket, then will have to account for it in another bucket.

The best way to unwind after a conference? A backyard BBQ with a Southwest twist!

I think we all know the feeling of information overload, so we created a relaxing, fun evening for conference guests to do a little networking but mostly to unwind.

🔑 Key elements that brought this backyard party to life:

🔥 Fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs
🧺 Long wooden benches and communal picnic tables for guests
🏮 String lights and vintage camping lanterns
🌸 Wildflowers in canteens
🍗 Delicious campfire BBQ-inspired menu

One of our favorite events to design — this Speakeasy-themed event during the NHL All Star Week supported the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation.

So how was this event design brought to life?

🍸 20s inspired florals, custom mirrored dance floor and circular bar, luxurious VIP lounges, velvet and sequin linens, roving entertainment which included the Blue Jackets hockey players, choreographed dances + a surprise Sara Bareilles concert.

✨ One of our favorite things? The next day the Columbus Dispatch was quoted saying, "Even the tablecloths had sequins." That's what we call linen love!

So you want to be an event planner. Here are 3 things I wish I knew...

1. There is no perfect event. In 16 years I've never had an event go perfectly from start to finish. There is always something that goes wrong, but you fix it because that's what you do. You problem solve, and the client never knows.

2. You can never make everyone happy. I used to take this so hard. Simply, you can't please everyone. Some people just aren't going to be happy no matter what.

3. Details are KING. This is a very detailed business. You can have the most beautiful event planned, but if the details are not in place, it's not going to come together.

If you are more of a creative and you don't have a detailed side, then partner with someone who can handle the details.
You must. be. detailed.

Signal 2022: Learn. Lead. Build.

Our biggest goal for this first-time hybrid event was to create a space, both in-person and online, where attendees felt engaged, inspired and creative.

Inside the Signal Hub, attendees had access to all streamed sessions viewable from several guest lounges and work tables, a live DJ, Magna-Tile wall, Legos, Balancing Blocks, 360 Photobooth, and of course, endless food and drink that included infused water, , and Food Trucks.

An in-person ticket provided access to the Signal stage, where attendees got up close and personal with the speakers for the first time in 3 years.

12 hours of content, 35+ incredible speakers — WOW!

We feel so incredibly lucky to be part of this event year after year. Along with all the attendees, we too are so inspired!

Saturday was beautiful
What else can we say about Eaglefest 2021 other than AMAZING!!

Amazing Staff, Amazing Host, Amazing Opening Act, Amazing Weather....and a Cincinnati Reds win!

We'd like to thank Ed Reynolds of Eagle Financial for making us a small part of this epic event, Dora with Viva Bella Events for the setting up this gorgeous space and keeping this event running like a Swiss clock, STAYS IN VEGAS, who killed it as always, but most of all the Eagle Financial staff for letting loose, having fun, and danced with us all night long.

This goes down as one of the best nights in our career and we look forward to doing it again next year!
