More often than not, I make my wax seals separately and stick them onto the stationery once I know they’re going to turn out well. But, since these menus were a little bit simpler than most of my invitations, I decided to make the seal right on the page—which means cool process videos for you guys! 😂 Enjoy!

May is always the craziest month around here. It's when my two busiest times for paper goods collide: I'm working on all the last minute day-of stationery and signage for May weddings while designing invitations for September and October. I'm not quite done yet, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and am starting to breathe a little bit easier (at least until I need to assemble all these invitations I just sent to print)!

Happy wedding day to Tori and Justin! Every element of their celebration has been so well considered, so of course the invitations are incredibly detailed and special as well!

Let's start with the invitation itself: it's an absolute masterpiece with three passes of letterpress plus digital printing on triple thick paper with beveled and painted edges. Each of the four enclosures is beautiful on its own, but have also been designed to layer beautifully with different shapes and textures. And of course the icing on the cake is the double ribbon band held in place with a custom wax seal.
