In 2020, Pharrell Williams founded Black Ambition, a non-profit prize competition designed to uplift Black and Latinx entrepreneurs. Today, the initiative had awarded $14million to 157 startups, mentored over 1,100 founders, and generated $348 million in revenue across its network.

At the 5th annual Demo Day in Miami, two co-winners split the $100,000 grand prize: AJ Addae of Sula Labs, which creates science-backed products for melanin-rich skin, and Alexander Zanders of UFarmX, an AI platform that helps farmers access credit and markets.

Pharrell received a key to Miami-Dade County. The concert and the key to Miami are nice touches, but the real celebration is 157 companies growing, hiring, and solving real problems. - Africa Giant

The real MVP of AfroSwag Hair & Fashion Show is THE MODEL.

The muse.
The human canvas.
The one that brings the designer’s vision to life through movement, attitude, confidence, energy, and presence.

There is no AfroSwag without the model.

Because the model is the one the crowd connects with.
The one that gets you hype.
The one that makes you FEEL the message behind the fashion.

They don’t just walk the runway.
They command it.
They own it.
They strut.
They swag.
They sway and sashay - turning hair, fashion, and art into a full experience.

And this year? The 2026 AfroSwag models took it to another level.

They stepped outside of themselves.
Tried new roles.
Committed countless hours to rehearsals and preparation.
Pushed themselves creatively on and off the stage.

And when show day came…
they showed UP and showed OUT. 🔥
