We’ve been asked to speak a big city council meeting tomorrow to discuss what we are doing in real time to reduce violence in our city. Right now, the city is receiving a lot of national attention and the coverage is not truly reflective of who we are! We are here as proof that many organizations and individuals work everyday towards making Cincinnati better! Why do we do AfroArt After Dark?

Because our people deserve to be seen, celebrated, and centered—in the heart of the city, under the stars, in spaces that often overlook us.

We do this for the artists who create with passion.
For the youth who dream in color.
For the elders who paved the way.
For the families who came out just to feel joy.
For the community that showed up and made magic with us.

AfroArt After Dark isn’t just an event—it’s a movement. It’s public art, public healing, public joy. Thank you to everyone who came, danced, created, performed, and supported. Y’all made this night unforgettable.
