I’ve been seeing praying mantises everywhere lately, so it felt like the perfect excuse to bring this little guy back from one of our shoots last fall.

Praying mantises are often associated with patience, stillness, mindfulness + intuition, which feels like a pretty lovely reminder, especially in a season of planning and anticipation.

So much of wedding planning is looking ahead to what’s next. The next decision, the next deadline, the wedding day itself. But we want our couples to feel just as present in the process as they do when the day finally arrives.

To trust their instincts. To have patience when things take a little longer than expected. To slow down enough to actually enjoy it.

And on the wedding day? To be fully there for all of it, the big moments and all the little ones in between.

Maybe this little guy was onto something. 🤍

The sweetest blend of historic charm and coastal elegance.

Set against the timeless backdrop of The Meshewa House, this design felt like summer done right- soft blues, layered textures, fresh florals, and an al fresco setting that felt equal parts refined and relaxed.

A space with so much character, paired with details that brought in a lighter, coastal-inspired feel, proof that thoughtful design can transform a venue while still letting its story shine.

One of my favorite reminders that the setting shapes so much of the experience.
Planning and design is always about finding that balance: honoring the space while making it feel entirely your own.
