This past Sunday, we celebrated our incredible band members! 💫 Their dedication, talent, and hard work made this year unforgettable, and we couldn't wait to show our appreciation.

We all got together for an afternoon full of good food, fun games, prizes, music, and gratitude. ¡Gracias por ser el corazón de Mariachi Ameca! ❤️🎶

Meet Miguel Cervantes, a dynamic force in Mariachi Ameca, bringing an impressive background and a wealth of talent to the group. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music and a Master’s degree in Latin Music Studies from Texas State University. Miguel’s musical journey has taken him across multiple genres, and he’s a true multi-instrumentalist. Miguel seamlessly fills any role, showcasing his versatility and dedication to the craft. Beyond his instrumental skills, Miguel takes on a leadership role within the band, often directing and arranging the music that brings Mariachi Ameca’s performances to life. He is deeply committed to preserving the authenticity of mariachi while also exploring creative interpretations that keep audiences engaged. Miguel’s expertise, combined with his passion for education and music, helps shape the vibrant sound and spirit of the group.

A senior at DePaul University🎓 majoring in Music Performance for Trumpet🎺, Edwin brings dedication, passion, and a deep connection to mariachi music🎵, which has been his passion since age 10. We’re excited to create unforgettable performances together. Welcome to the team,Edwin!

The festival is FREE to attend, however there is a $10 suggested donation (at the gates). A portion of the proceeds will benefit the local Pilsen Arts & Community House, Frida Kahlo Community Group, and Opportunities for All.
