A couple of special costumes- those “just pants” are the ONLY pair Ms Jean ever made, for a special person.

And that lil boy— that costume he’s wearing was a special order years before this photo- it was his dad’s costume.

Traditions is what Ms Jean and Mr Tom loved. Making traditions and memories for the community.

It was their passion, never a job.

We’ve seen so many of Ms. Jean’s beautiful, one-of-a-kind costumes this Mardi Gras season — and it fills our hearts every time! 💜💛💚

As the season comes to a close, we want to remind everyone that each costume is completely handmade, crafted with incredible love, care, and tradition. No two are ever the same — when you wear one, you’re wearing a true original.

We always encourage placing your orders as early as possible (just a small deposit is required) to guarantee your custom creation for next season. The earlier you book, the better!

Mardi Gras 2026 is quickly approaching! With both sadness and deep thankfulness, we want to share that we are no longer able to accept additional orders for CPMG 2026.

Due to the overwhelming number of special-order requests, there simply isn’t enough time to take on more. As many of you know, each costume is handmade, with special detail and care given to every single stitch. This is exactly how Ms. Jean created each costume, and that tradition proudly continues today.

Every costume remains unique and never duplicated—a true one-of-a-kind treasure meant to last for many years to come.

We truly wish we could say yes to everyone, but we are a one lady, one stitch operation, just as we have always been.

Thank you for your continued love and support of Le Vieux Moulin. We know Ms. Jean and Mr. Tom have the very best seats as they watch these beautiful traditions carry on. 💜
