CAN you help me? I keep getting emails from people who want to get price quote from me to they can have their event in my venue. My venue???? I am not a venue. There is no place to hold a ceremony or reception in my office. So, if you found a web site somewhere that says I am a reception location could you please send me the link? I need to find out where people are getting the idea that I can provide that service. I am a wedding planner. I help people organize their wedding day. I direct the day, I can provide professional DJ service through my husbands company. Asta DJ, but I am not a venue location. Any help you can give me to find out where this is listed would be gratefully appreciated.

I sometimes get "too, too" happy to meet with a perspective couple. I get giddy and so happy to share my knowledge and education about planning with couples. Sometimes they just love me, other times, they really don't. I get it, my personality is a little different. -- I was raised by European parents and I am often asked what my personal thoughts are on this or that. -- I sometimes have a little difficulty expressing myself, (last year I was finishing up chemotherapy after having been diagnosed with stage 2 cancer), and often found it difficult to talk for long periods of time PLEASE FORGIVE ME. Or forgive the other Vendor that you are considering booking. -- Please give people a chance. . -NOTE: just because my personal feelings or suggestions are the opposite of yours doesn't mean I won't do things your way. I am there to do what YOU WANT. not what I want. I may suggest that you don't give expensive gifts to your guests at the end of the evening because I have seen, when I was the videographer, how many of those trinket boxes, necklaces, pen sets, were still left at the end of the evening & you spent $$ to buy those gifts and you have 70 left over at the end of the evening. -- If you want to do this, then I am there for you making sure your guests are aware they are there to be taken home. I will follow your plans, help keep you on schedule and write up your Itinerary in a professional and easy way to follow. I will assist your DJ at the reception. I will assist the photographer reminding them that this or that is about to happen so they can be ready to take the picture. -- I have some suggestions for your reception that you may not want. -- It's up to you to tell me what you like and what you don't like. I will NOT take offense if you negate something I have suggested. I worked a lot of wonderful weddings. One that I can't show is a wedding I did for a bride from Hawaii and the groom was a retired FBI agent. --- What question can I answer for you?

Back in March I received a phone call to "tip" me off that a wedding planning company would be calling and pretending to be different brides from out of the area. I was told they were going to see how well I worked and to "take" information that I offered so they could improve how they interviewed brides. -- Just so you know. It is the bride who is interviewing the Wedding Planner, DJ, Photographer, Caterer, etc. Be sure you have at least 5 questions about your specific wedding for them. See how they answer your questions. Don't ask questions that are listed on their About Page, or packages page. Make it a thoughtful question. Such as, I have a problem with one of the bridesmaids and groomsmen who dislike each other. What do you recommend in order to not have them bickering all afternoon? Or something that is personal to your wedding day. Don't ask about prices, how long they have been in business or where they are located. -- Be sure to ask, if not on their web site: Are you insured? What is the name of the insurance company? Are you the DJ who will be doing my reception or do you hire out other people? Don't ever attend a meeting without at least 5 questions and you having done some background work in reading their web page and make a page of notes about them to put in your planner book. If they don't have a web page. Read their page, but be careful. It is so easy to make a web page nowadays and for free. If the company doesn't care enough to have a web page, you may want to ask why. Do you want to hire a company that doesn't care enough to make one? -- I can help you find the right people. And If I am booked for your day, I can recommend other wedding planners.
