One thing this project reminded me of is how important it is to KEEP TRYING NEW THINGS creatively — even when you don’t fully know what you’re doing yet.

I’m not a professional video editor, cinematographer, or production company. I’m just a creative small business owner who wanted to bring an idea to life and kept pushing through the frustration, mistakes, learning curves, and “why isn’t this working?!” moments until something finally came together.

And honestly? I learned a TON in the process.

For anyone newer to entertainment, balloon twisting, performing, content creation, or running a small business:
Don’t be afraid to experiment, fail, learn, adjust, and grow.

Sometimes the biggest growth happens when you push yourself far outside your comfort zone.

🎬🦕 IT’S FINALLY HERE… 🦕

After countless hours of filming, editing, troubleshooting, rewriting, learning, re-learning, and more late nights than I’d like to admit… the promotional video for my 2026 summer show, Jurassic Journeys: Unearthing Stories Together, is officially finished.

And honestly?

I’m really proud of it.

Now before anyone thinks this was created by some professional production company… let me be transparent:

I’m not a cinematographer.
I’m not a professional video editor.
I’m not a camera operator.

I’m a small business owner with one employee…

…me.

Like many small business owners, I work a full-time job, juggle seasonal work, coaching, family life, and everything else that comes with trying to keep a dream alive while still paying the bills.

This video was created with a green screen, determination, Google searches, ChatGPT, trial and error, and a LOT of persistence through obstacles and frustrations.

Is it Hollywood quality?
Absolutely not.

But every challenge taught me something new, and the final result is something I’m genuinely excited to share with the world.

This post is also dedicated to the countless small business owners out there who spend unseen hours creating products, experiences, and services for others while quietly carrying the weight of trying to keep their passion alive.

People often only see the final product…

…but not the sacrifice behind it.

📚 While I’m a little late to the official summer library booking season, this show can also be adapted for community events, camps, parties, churches, and family programs.

One of the greatest parts of what I do is getting to see families laugh, smile, celebrate, and create memories together. ❤️

📢 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Knot Alone Monthly Meeting Schedule Update 📢

As we continue building and strengthening the Knot Alone community, our goal is to create the most accessible, consistent, and valuable experience possible for everyone involved.

After evaluating our initial launch and receiving early feedback, we are making an important scheduling update:

📅 Knot Alone Monthly Meetings will now be held on the
3rd THURSDAY of each month (instead of the 3rd Tuesday).

🔍 Why the Change?

Our first meeting highlighted a few key opportunities for improvement:

• Scheduling Conflicts – Tuesdays proved to be a challenging night for several members of our leadership team and community
• Accessibility & Participation – We want to remove as many barriers as possible so more people can attend and engage
• Stronger Launch Moving Forward – Adjusting now allows us to build consistency and momentum with a schedule that better supports long-term growth

Rather than push forward with a time that limits participation, we’re choosing to make a proactive adjustment that better serves the entire community.

I have been a Balloon Artist for more than 36 years now and have taught at Kapital Kidvention and Circus Magic. I love the creativity that balloons allow you to have, in short, they are amazing.

🎈 About Tonight’s Monthly Meeting 🎈

Tonight we officially launched our first 3rd Tuesday Monthly Meeting — and I want to thank Tim Thurmond for jumping on with me and helping us kick things off.

That said, we ran into some unexpected technical issues with the Google Meet link that may have prevented some of you from joining us. If you tried to log in and experienced problems, I sincerely apologize.

This meeting crept up on us quickly since it had already been scheduled, and rather than cancel it, we chose to move forward and learn from it — and that’s exactly what we did.

Moving forward, I will be:

• Setting up a more reliable recurring meeting link
• Testing the link ahead of time
• Updating the Event tab with a clean, confirmed access point
• Making the join process simpler and clearer

This group deserves smooth, professional gatherings — and we’ll get there.

Thank you for your patience as we build this the right way.

Our next meeting will be even stronger.
