Come hang at the Loon today. Looks like a great day to hang on the patio!

Through no fault of our own, the food truck has cancelled for today. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Feel free to bring something with you or order something from one of the fine local food spots and have it delivered right to the brewery.

The Book Room • Mobile Bookstore is rolling up the brewery for an evening of books, brews, and good vibes from 4 - 7pm. Browse a hefty selection of romance, romantasy, fantasy, and BookTok favorites while enjoying a craft beverage from the brewery. Whether you're searching for your next favorite read or just stopping by for a drink, they'd love to see you!

We set up a contest with the Chisago Lakes Homebrewers Club, our local homebrew club that meets at the Loon the second Wednesday of every month. The contest was to brew any style of beer the members wanted to and a "blue ribbon" panel of judges picked the winner. Jeff Fink came out victorious and got the chance to upscale his recipe and brew his beer on the Loon's 10 Barrel system with Head Brewer Brad.
This one is called "Rye Me A River" and is a Roggenbier (German Rye Beer). "What's that?" you may ask. Well, it's a dark German ale, brewed with a large portion of malted rye instead of barley or wheat that drinks like a Dunkelweizen. There's more to it, but you can Google it yourself. I suggest coming in to taste it and see what it's all about.

Smash N Dash MN is scheduled tonight for 5 - 8pm. Hopefully the Smash N Dash pit crew got all the mechanical problems taken care of so we can get some delicious smash burgers this evening.

It's the middle of the week and you look like you could use some fun tonight.

If you're looking for something to challenge your brain and engage in some fun competition, we've got you covered. Keeping It Light Trivia will be doing their brand of old-school trivia tonight from 7 - 9pm. And by old-school, we mean we're gonna be using paper and pen, not phones, to record our answers. A great change-of-pace! Bring your crew of up to 8 people: family, close friends, team up with some randos, or face the other squads alone.

We welcome Burgers 101 Burger Fundamentals food truck back to the brewery. Burgers 101 is a made-to-order burger truck that prides itself on using the best ingredients to make every order. Come check them out. Serving from 4 - 8pm.

Now featured in the taproom: The Art Side of The Loon - A Community Art Show.
Artwork will be displayed around the taproom today through the end of July.

We will also be hosting an Artists Reception for "The Art Side of The Loon - A Community Art Show" tonight beginning at 5:30pm. Come to the taproom and meet these very talented local artists. Snacks will be served.

Check out pieces of fantastic artwork from almost 30 local artists who just might be your friends, neighbors or co-workers. This is the first of two exhibits we will be hosting this summer to showcase our wonderfully talented community.

Grab a beverage and check out all the amazing artwork.

Hopefully it decides to rain around here this week. Things be dry, and the lakes are getting low!

Three chances to take in some live music this week. On Thursday we have Kenny & Aubrey. Mother Mercy will be playing a special Saturday matinee show. For the next installment of Acoustic Sunday, we have Shelby Marshall Music playing.

Four different food trucks scheduled. Burgers 101 Burger Fundamentals will be here Wednesday. On Thursday we have Smash N Dash MN. Friday we welcome Kosharina Egyptian Cuisine to the brewery. Saigon Delicious returns to the Loon on Saturday. That's a lot of delicious options!

Keeping It Light Trivia is back at it this Wednesday. We'll be ditching the technology and going old school with paper and pencil, NO phones. Gather up a squad of up to 8 and see how you fare.

The Loon is participating in a nationwide Craft Beer Professionals collaboration to support education. The goal is simple: visit our taproom, order a 6-7 American IPA, and support our local schools. It's a win, win, win!
We partnered with our local Chisago Lakes schools to create a fund for teachers to purchase much needed classroom supplies. A portion of the proceeds from every pint of 6-7 IPA sold will be donated to the fund.
We're leaning into the name. The beer is 6.7% ABV IPA, 67 IBU's, releasing on 6/7, our Sunday closing time will be changing from 6pm to 7pm (summer hours) and to top it off, our brewer Brad is 67 years old!
