Several years ago I made this guy I really liked a blanket. He was in school in a state that had really cold weather. (North Carolina actually) I went to the store and purchased two sheets of fleece that were large enough to make a good size blanket. I laid the two sheets on each other and cut fringe around the edges. Then, I went around the edges tieing the fringe pieces together. As I tied the fringe I prayed. I prayed so many prayers I ran out of things to pray. It was a lot of tieing.
Iβts been on my mind to make these blankets for our local neighbors and also those in North Carolina who will not have heat this winter. As we begin approaching the colder months itβs time to get some blankets made and to spend time praying over each person who will receive the blanket. We will also collect other blankets in good condition that have been washed to give out to anyone in need.
So go to the store, have them cut two sheets of fleece the size you want your blanket to be, and bring them with you Thursday night 11/21. I recommend getting two pieces that have different patterns that complement one another and are gender neutral for the most part. If you want me to provide supper and drinks while youβre there send $10 to Danielle-Obert-1 on Venmo.
P.S. The guy I really liked who received the blanket is my husband π
