Clara Zastrow, 2025 Junior Fairest of the Fair

2025 Junior Fairest of the Fair, Clara Zastrow, welcomes you to the “Biggest Little Fair in Wisconsin!” As the official Junior hostess of the Calumet County Fair she hopes to see you at the fair Labor Day weekend. The fair is the highlight of her summer every year, and she is ecstatic to, “Let the Good Times Roar,” in four action packed, incredible days she will be promoting throughout the summer.

Clara is the daughter of Michael and Anna Zastrow of Brownsville. As an eighth grade graduate of St. Luke’s Lutheran School, she is involved in basketball, volleyball, softball, track, and cross country. Other extracurricular activities she takes part in are Meet Math, Forensics, Fine Arts Fair, Lutheran Girl Pioneers, school musicals and plays, as well as playing piano and handbells. In the future, Clara would like to be an agriculture teacher or manage a goat farm.

Clara has received the Calumet County Outstanding 4-H Member Award, the Green Clover Award and the Silver Clover Award. At the Wisconsin State Fair Junior Dairy Goat Show in 2024 she earned the honor as the first place 12 year old Showmanship Award and in 2025 again earned the first place 13 year old Showmanship Award, and received sixth overall in 13-19 year olds.

Clara’s passion for agriculture began as soon as she could talk. Both sets of her grandparents played a huge role in supporting her agricultural journey. From her garden at home, to her flock of chickens, and herd of goats, she has always spent her free time caring for and playing with her animals. Clara is currently the Vice President of Chilton Tip Top 4-H Club. She began showing at the Calumet County Fair in 2015, with one goat. Now she enjoys showing dairy and market goats, show and market poultry, rabbits, crafts, plants, and vegetables.

Clara loves spending time with friends and family. Her favorite fair memory is showing dairy goats with all of her cousins. As she begins showing her dairy goats at the Wisconsin State Fair, she looks forward to making many fond memories with her siblings and cousins.

Clara invites you to the Calumet County Fair Labor Day weekend to, “Let the Good Times Roar!” Join us for, “Fair by Day, Festival by Night!”
