You won't want to miss the final luncheon of the summer, Thursday, August 18th, noon, in the Regents dining room, at USAO. Jennifer Latham will speak to us about writing young adult fiction. She will read from her new book coming out in January. Contact the Library to make a reservation.

July 21, Thursday, is the second summer luncheon! Our featured speaker is Dr Todd Fuller, OU Lecturer in Native American Studies and Native American Philosophy. He will be sharing poetry from his new book, To The Disappearance, and discussing the power of memory and metaphor. Both language and land hold memories...

The menu for the first luncheon is Grilled Chicken Breast, Arugula & Fennel Salad with Fresh Lemon Vinaigrette, Grilled Garlic Baguette. Dessert is Fresh Berries with Cream & Cookies.

Books Sandwiched In! Thursday, March 17th at Noon. Michelle's Trivia Day! Do plan to come. It is lots of fun. Challenging but not so challenging it isn't great fun. Bring a friend and a sandwich. Or if you wish, you and your friend may knosh on the goodies provided.

March 17th at Noon, Books Sandwiched In is Michelle's Trivia Day! It is so much fun! Challenging but not so challenging that you won't have a great time. There will be snacks and drinks as always, if you don't want to bring your lunch but bring your sandwich, too, if you wish. Plan to join us and see if you don't agree: Books Sandwiched In is a great distraction and vast improvement over an ordinary lunchtime experience.

If you missed the February Books Sandwiched In, you missed the best Books reviewed yet! Darlene Troup is always such a great discussion leader. We had a great time talking books, recipes, and food. We even discussed food disasters we have endured or caused!

Bring a sandwich or enjoy the snacks, coffee, and water that are provided by the Library. There are many loves to be had in a lifetime but let's face it FOOD is about the best of the lot! Join us for talking about the joys of cooking but, best of all, the Joys of Eating!
