Este pasado sábado no fue solo un evento.
Fue una visión hecha realidad.
Una noche histórica: oficialmente a casa llena y completamente vendido, con más de 400 asistentes celebrando juntos nuestra independencia, nuestra cultura y nuestra identidad como comunidad multicultural.
En el camino escuché muchos “no”.
Pero cada “no” me impulsó.
Cada obstáculo me formó.
Y cada puerta que se cerró abrió una mejor.
Nada de esto se hizo sola.
Sigo creyendo en hacer el bien y en servir con el corazón, porque Dios conoce el corazón de cada persona.
La energía negativa se transforma cuando se actúa con propósito.
Gracias a nuestros patrocinadores, aliados, voluntarios, artistas, familia y amigos por creer en esta misión.
Parte de los fondos recaudados apoyarán a artesanos en la República Dominicana para que puedan ofrecer talleres a niños y jóvenes, y también serán invertidos en más eventos culturales y espacios educativos en nuestra comunidad.
Porque preservar cultura no es solo celebrar una noche.
Es invertir en el futuro.
Esto apenas comienza.

This past Saturday was not just an event.
It was a vision becoming reality.
A historic night: officially sold out and at full capacity, with over 400 attendees celebrating together our independence, our culture, and our identity as a multicultural community.
Along the way, I heard many “no’s.”
But every “no” pushed me forward.
Every obstacle shaped me.
And every door that closed opened a better one.
None of this was done alone.
I will continue to serve with heart and integrity, because God knows the heart of every person.

Part of the funds raised will support artisans in the Dominican Republic so they can provide workshops for children and youth. Funds will also be invested in more cultural events and educational spaces within our community.
Because preserving culture is not just about celebrating one night.
It is about investing in the future.
