Hello Everyone,
Thank you for all your support in Diamonds & Pearls Events. After much consideration, we have decided to close Diamonds & Pearls Events for the foreseeable future. It has been an amazing learning experience and we are thankful for the opportunity to have worked with our amazing couples. We wish you the best throughout your wedding planning!

The sun came out right on time when the beautiful bride, Alma, walked down the aisle. The look the groom, Emir, had said it all. He was madly in love with her, and he was not afraid to let everyone know. The various details of their wedding reflected the couples' personalities and culture perfectly, from the loteria table numbers to the papel picado banners to the Day of the Dead Novio/Novia cake topper.

Thank you for trusting Diamonds & Pearls Events to coordinate such a significant day in your lives. Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Gomez!

Instead of frosting the outside of the cake with layers upon layers of fondant or buttercream, many bakers are increasing the filling between tiers and leave layers exposed, for a fresh (and delicious!) look.

We found tons of amazing unfrosted wedding cakes, proving you don't need fondant or buttercream to make a statement with your big-day confection!

Double wedding weekend means double the love! Dow and Mario's wedding was one of few weddings we secretly shed a few tears watching their love on display. We've been anticipating their wedding since they signed up with us almost over a year ago! It's been our pleasure and honor to be part of their special day.

Our double wedding weekend started with Ethel and Mike's beautiful and personalized wedding. You can instantly tell how much thought went into creating all the details that complemented the couple's personalities. We also had the privilege of working with some amazing vendors!

Emergencies are always unexpected. That's why they are called emergencies. When one of our brides from our double wedding weekend forgot to bring her traditional wedding hat and wedding hair piece, we get them for her, no matter what it took.

We will have more beautiful pictures to come (once we rest our legs a bit)!

We hear too often, "Shouldn’t the vendors be able to manage themselves since they work weddings all the time?"

According to feedback from vendors we have worked with, we have heard more times than not, there is a huge difference between a wedding with a coordinator vs. one without / with a venue coordinator. The flow of the event and communication between the parties (i.e. the photographer will be ready for photos and not out in the cocktail area when the DJ plays the song for the Grand Entrance because the coordinator will have given both a warning). Although it’s your day, think about the vendors you have hired. What will help make both your lives and their lives easier? A wedding day-of coordinator!

What's another common reason couples think they don't need a day-of wedding coordinator? "We have a venue coordinator, and they can handle it."

Venue coordinators are there because they are hired by the venue to maintain and manage the venue only (i.e. food, rentals, staff, etc…). They work for the venue and not for you. Their main goal is to ensure the facility runs smoothly. So if you arrive and all your flower arrangements are wrong and the transportation service is MIA, don’t look at the venue coordinator to help you out because they won’t have any idea on what you wanted.

Another common reason couples say when asked if they need a wedding coordinator: "I have family and friends who have volunteered to help me day-of. It should be fine!"

While this is a nice gesture, unless your family member is a professional event planner, we are pretty sure it won’t be fine. They are your guests and should not be working on your wedding day. They will be so preoccupied with socializing, drinking a little too much champagne, ooh’ing and ahh’ing over how beautiful you look, taking hundreds of photos, and not focused on the important details that make the event run smoothly.
