**DJ Debrief | New Date Coming Soon**

Fathom DJ Entities LLC and Lux Listenings are moving DJ Debrief off tomorrow, Sunday 9.27, at Parkway Social in Bronzeville because of a scheduling conflict. We'll share the new date and details soon.

To everyone who has already RSVP'd: thank you. You chose to spend an afternoon with this community in person, and that means a lot to us. Your spot carries over to the new date automatically.

DJ Debrief brings together DJs, curators, and venue and event decision makers. We'll talk through each other's needs, challenges, and goals, and build real working relationships across Chicago's creative economy.

If you haven't RSVP'd yet, now is a good time. Email [email protected] to hold your seat. Then share this post with a DJ, curator, or venue owner who should be in the room with us.

Lead by listening.

meet swannque, Lawrence Lyles

he describes his sound as "a layered experience," music presented the way he hears it in his head, feels it in his soul, and gives it from his heart. his go-to track is "roots" featuring jazzie b.

behind the decks, he watches the dancers and the ones who get hyped; their energy tells him where to take the set next. "music is my lifeblood! i don't know how people can go a day without listening to some kind of music."

he wants you to leave feeling like you heard a dj who made you at home on the dance floor, or boogieing in your chair, while hearing familiar music presented in a new and different way.

he's noticed chicago listeners can be slow to embrace a new dj without a word from someone they already trust. consider this ours.

catch swannque live with Danyell Abston for lux is love at big marsh this thursday, 9.25 at 5pm. bring your people, and tag someone who needs to be in the room.

The beloved pioneer srt 1000 is one of my favorite controllers. My jedi challenge was being mindful that people who are often assigned task have no clue. Here I go with another teachable moments I hope they remember the steps when no audio driver shows up in the jog wheel… again. Danyell Abston

y'all are a little bit too concerned about boxing yourselves in with genres, men… women… the g**s, the straights, the young, the old, the poor and rich, the black and whites (and others) ; i'm over here trying to have a good time and none of y'all wanna play WELL together.
