6+ years. 2 studios. Countless clients, big hugs, and happy tears. A huge dream and a chapter of my life of which I am so proud.
And so, with equal excitement and tears, I announce that my journey in this amazing city and at is coming to a close with my final event roster, ending in early 2022.
After nearly a year of contemplation and planning, my husband accepted a job in Northern Michigan! We are relocating to the Petoskey area – a return to my home state, a move to our happy place, and a new adventure for my family.
On CCWE’s 4th anniversary, almost a year exactly before a pandemic would shutter my industry, I cheekily posted my “Housewives Tagline”. It read: “Celebrating is my business, and I’m a workaholic. Cheers!”. Totally on brand? ☑️ Cute and sassy? ☑️☑️ Accurate? Painfully.
When I started this business in my 20’s, I charged forward, full speed and never looked back. “The majority of small businesses fail” I was told – so I kept running, always looking for the next mountain to climb.
Building this business, serving so many wonderful clients, and watching it thrive has been one of the greatest thrills and honors of my life; even so, in a global pandemic that decimated my industry and left me struggling to balance my livelihood, health, and social responsibility, it has been equally exhausting.
BUT the funny thing about that pandemic? It finally forced me to pause. It gave a more fully-realized, grounded and adult Mallory the space to reconsider priorities and imagine a new dream.
This won’t be the last you hear from me. I will be between NOMI and CHI, as I finish out the remainder of our events! I still have plenty of beautiful celebrations, with my “pandemic soulmate” clients, to share before I officially close this chapter.
As for what’s next, I still have the same passion for creative, small business, big dreams, and exciting plans. I cannot wait to fully actualize and share those dreams with you. In the meantime, I hope you’ll continue to support, follow along, and – most importantly - come visit me in one of my very favorite corners of the world.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I love you all.
