SIR! NO SIR! Documentary I USA I 85min I 2005
Sir! No Sir! tells the story of the 1960's GI movement against the war in Vietnam. The film explores the profound impact that the movement had on the war and investigates the way in which the GI Movement has been erased from public memory. It is a suppressed story of the military men and women who helped force the U.S. Government to end the Vietnam War. Following the film, About Face Veterans Against the War will lead a discussion. They are veterans of the post 9/11 wars taking action against militarism and organizing to end policy of permanent war. They write: "We understand that the same institutions and policies that wage wars overseas also target communities of color, indigenous people, and poor people inside of the United States."
