I’m truly honored to be part of Splendor: A Women’s Celebration of History alongside such an incredible group of women shaping music, poetry, and culture in Chicago.

For this gathering, I’ll be bringing flavors from Agyabu’s Boutique Catering, preparing a meal inspired by West African tradition to share with everyone who joins us. Food has always been my way of welcoming people in, and I’m grateful to contribute that piece to an evening centered on creativity, collaboration, and community.

It’s beautiful to see women across different disciplines come together to create something meaningful for our city.

Through Agyabu’s Boutique Catering, food has always been my way of welcoming people to the table. For this gathering, I’m preparing a meal inspired by West African tradition — a comforting dish of Spinach Stew, Plantains, and Jollof Rice with protein options (Chicken/Beef)— created to be enjoyed in the spirit of community.

Events like this remind me that food, music, and conversation are all part of the same experience. When people gather around a table, share a plate, and enjoy beautiful music together, something special happens.

I’m grateful to collaborate with Fathom DJ and Lux Listenings, whose vision brings together women across music, poetry, hospitality, and the arts to create a meaningful evening for our city.
