Some concerts are bigger than the music. They take you back to different chapters of your life. 🎶

Seeing Kanye perform and then bring out Big Sean, 2 Chainz, and TWISTA?! Chicago definitely got a moment. 🔥

“Through the Wire” hit different. I still remember hearing it for the first time on WGCI back in 2002, when Kanye was still coming up. Who would’ve known where that song and his career would eventually go?

Then “Mercy” came on and instantly took me back to my days DJing at Transit, when I had a club residency and records like that were destroying the dance floor. Different era. Different version of me. Same love for the music.

That’s what made this concert special. Every song seemed connected to a memory, a place, or a time in my life.

Life moves FAST.

So one piece of advice: go see your favorite artists while you still can. Buy the ticket. Make the trip. Sing every word.

Because there will eventually come a day when they can’t tour anymore and you’ll be glad you got to experience the music that became part of your life… LIVE. 🙌🏽🎤
