Last night at Stelios’ Gold bracket was a playoff battle from start to finish.

On one side: Party in My Pallino, the regular season champs, riding a perfect 10-0 record into the evening with the hopes of extending it to 13-0.

On the other: Zboyz, last season’s defending champions, but completely rebranded this time around, with Flex at the helm and rookie Quinn all in for the ride.

PIMP got on the board early and took an 8-6 lead into halftime, eventually stretching it to 12-6. But Zboyz weren’t going anywhere. They battled their way back, capitalizing on rare misses on PIMPS part, clawing within one point as the final frame began at 15-14. It was anyone’s game.

The comeback attempt was real, but PIMP wasn’t letting the perfect season slip away. They held on and closed it out, completing the coveted perfect 13-0 season!

Over in Silver, the competition was high and the talent strong. Both Bongo Fizz and Pallino Grigio played well enough throughout the night that they could’ve easily made a deep run in Gold.

A crowd gathered to watch the excitement of nearly every frame bringing a new lead change. The rolls were accurate, but more importantly, they were strategic: pallino rolls, aggressive shots, perfectly placed points, you name it. Every player was making an impact (even Bruce 🐶), and neither team was giving an inch.

After a back-and-forth battle that went all the way down to the wire, Pallino Grigio pulled of the Silver Championship by just TWO points!

Gold🥇 - Party in My Pallino
Gold🥈- Zboyz
Silver🩶- Pallino Grigio

A perfect Lobo Thursday evening in August was met with THE perfect playoffs. Our first big game was the Silver championship featuring featured Big Ted’s Bocce Boys versus Venmo Camille- both teams that have all the seasoned talent. But Big Ted’s showed that they had all the moves on the concrete walls and sharply point their way to several big multiple points frames to victory. Congrats, Big Ted! They’ll look to shake up the Lobo action next season as they make the switch to Tuesdays!

Our cathartic Gold bracket featured a finals rematch between Bocce Me to the Moon and the defending champions, the Bocce Buds. The game opened with Bocce Buds coming in hot, taking the first 5 points, but something bizarre would happen, the clouds would clear and reveal a literal lunar eclipse, and wouldn’t you know it, Bocce Me to the Moon would begin to tap into their celestial lunar powers, and go on a tear that would go down in Thursday Lobo history.

The Moons would soon call halftime at 8-7. Coming back from the break, almost at full eclipse, Bocce me to the Moon would seemingly stifle the defending champs, closing the door, going on a 6-0 run in the final two frames to claim a 16-11 victory!!

And as if the win wasn’t sweet enough, 3 of their 4 players also earned their FIRST PINS! Congrats to first-pin winner and MVP Papa Moon, for being the hero the Lobo faithful deserve, and a HUGE congrats to Stephanie and Dan on their much-deserved and LONG-awaited firsts!

Congrats to everyone on a great, fun season and thank you to everyone who stuck around at the end to howl at the moon with us! 🌖🐺😎

Gold🥇 - Bocce Me to the Moon
Gold🥈- Bocce Buds
Silver🩶- Big Ted’s Bocce Boys

The Gold Bracket Championship at Clark Street Ale House was a showdown between Balls Deep and Hi-Bocce Grillers, two teams that dominated all season long. Hi-Bocce Grillers had an incredible run and established themselves as one of the league’s toughest teams from start to finish. But in the end, Balls Deep continued their reign of dominance, finishing off their SECOND perfect season in a row with another playoff championship and an undefeated record!

The reigning silver champs, Dutch Rudders, returned to the court ready to defend their title against Son of a Bocce. After battling through the silver bracket, both teams left it all on the court in a hard-fought championship matchup. But when the final frame was played, Son of a Bocce came out on top (12-10) to claim the silver championship! A huge congratulations to Son of a Bocce on an awesome win, and to Dutch Rudders on another impressive trip to the championship game!

The beach vibes were immaculate all season long, and the final night of Shore Club delivered the perfect ending. BRASKY! continued their undefeated streak into the playoffs, decimating the competition all night and proving no one can volo better than the BRASKY! bros.

But they had to WORK for the crown. The team standing between them and the beach pin? Their own coworkers/friends/softball teammates. Goons made BRASKY! earn every point and every frame, pushing them to perform their best and having the champs sweating in the back half of the final matchup before finally securing the win.

In Silver, Sandy Balls spent all season getting better, and when playoff time came around, they finally hit their stride. They took down higher seeds all night and volo’d their way to the silver crown. Turns out, when you spend enough time in the sand, you eventually become Sandy Balls.

Gold🥇 - BRASKY!
Gold🥈- Goons
Silver🩶- Sandy Balls
