Speaking on behalf of all your vendors, reviews are our industry’s lifeblood! We love referrals, we love being tagged in your pics, we love hugs, we love thank you cards, but the one simple, easy, and totally free thing you can do to support the people who supported you on your big day is leave them a five star review! It’s a huge factor when couples are choosing their team, PLUS when I’m feeling sad, I like to read them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯!

Last Friday, I didn’t have a wedding so I finally got to check out an Early Birds Club party, and, bonus, it was new wave night! Dancing with my friends, running into old pals, and recharging my soul was just what I needed. Plus they played my theme song! and I still got a good nights sleep for the wedding the next day! Thanks, Earlybirds Club

Went to get bagels with one of my kids and this quote caught my eye.
It perfectly encapsulates how I operate- if it’s important to you, it’s important to me. That means respecting pronouns, getting those Chicago Polish names right, hitting all the cues, and reading the dance floor. It’s the little things, the big things, and everything in between!

Shout out to my favorite bagel shop lefty’s righteous bagels

Does YOUR DJ join you in RDLs and bench presses? I DJed Jess and Amanda’s wedding last October (which was an absolute blast, btw…) and now we are doing our best to up our bone density. And like, get a sick six pack or whatever. I meet so many awesome people because of my job, the only problem is, I work every weekend night so the only way to hang out with them again is for an 8 am squat sesh.
Also WTF is my pose. I was trying to look strong, I guess.

21 years ago (+1 day), and I threw the most epic party ever. There was karaoke, hot dogs, a record shaped cake, plus everyone we love! I can’t believe that was so long ago! I love you, Paul. Happy anniversary!

Look at these babes! I’m sitting at the airport, still riding high from their nuptials last night. Justin + George are the sweetest, funniest, most fun people and they surrounded themselves with an amazing friend group. From their vows that were both beautiful AND invoked the wisdom of Jessica Rabbit, to toasts given in hot dog costumes, to an absolute blazing dance floor, it was the perfect night. Man, I love this job!

My pal took this photo of me and this amazing bride* and I absolutely love it. It completely sums up my wedding day experience. I truly feel so connected to my couples and am so happy, honored, and excited to be a part of the team! My motto is “you’re best friend for your best day” and I mean it!!!

Also, their ceremony was so sweet and their dance was INSANE!! What a day!

* this couple really values their privacy and didn’t want their faces or names on social media (if only I had that willpower) and I got permission for this pic. But the I overthought it and got scared that you, dear reader, would think I don’t REMEMBER her name and that’s why I called her “bride”. I KNOW HER NAME. Thank you for learning more about my dumb brain.
