The Salvation Army Adele and Robert Stern Red Shield Center The Adele and Robert Stern Red Shield Center is The Salvation Army Corps Community Center in Englewood.

Our 50,000 square foot Red Shield Center and 50,000 Square Foot Englewood building offers a wide array of activities and services for people of all ages, which makes us a unique destination for the entire family and positions us to serve those in need. Our current programs and ministries include opportunities for worship, fitness, and youth and senior programs. Our recreational features include an

indoor sports complex comprised of a basketball court, walking track, fitness center and other amenities. The Red Shield Center is one of more than 20 corps community centers throughout Chicagoland. Corps Community Centers are the heart and soul of The Salvation Army. They are the entry point for people in need seeking all types of assistance — feeding their families, paying rent and utility bills, educational and recreational programs for people of all ages, mentorship, worship and more.

The Women of Embrace had an amazing time at the 3rd Annual All White Event! 🤍 From dancing and delicious food to laughter and sisterhood, the evening was full of joy and celebration.

Huge thanks to the Temple Corps for hosting such a beautiful night—we’re grateful for the memories made and the fellowship shared. 💃🏽✨

This weekend’s storms brought heavy rain, flooding, and widespread power outages across Chicagoland. The Salvation Army is on the ground, serving those affected. Our The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services - Greater Chicagoland mobile feeding units from Rockford have already provided hydration and snacks to more than 200 people in impacted communities. We remain ready to support first responders and neighbors as recovery continues.
