No words for this beauty. Peony season makes living in zone 6 WORTH IT. Shout out to for the strong peony root that was planted in 2023 but then had to be transplanted when we moved houses in 2025 and blooming beautifully now. Gardening has taught me to be patient in order to experience the most beautiful things. In the garden and in life.

What have you gathered and made from your garden lately? I’ll go first. This centerpiece was inspired by Bloomquist Mojo and Bloomquist Blush dahlias. Honestly all the ingredients from my garden were a bit intimidating to start designing with. So many amazing colors to play with and so many remarkable varieties that showed up in abundance this season. I am so grateful for my garden and to be able to make this on a whim!

Colarette and anemone type dahlias are notorious for having a short vase life so timing them just right to bloom for an event just gives me so much satisfaction 😌 This dahlia variety you won’t find at the flower market but you can certainly grow her from a tuber to experience the magic yourself 🪄 I mean look at the

Bloomquist Mojo dahlia and her glowing gold tips ✨Beautiful in the landscape and as a specialty cut flower. These didn’t flower for me the first year but I tend to give dahlias a second chance before I cull them from the collection. Year two is usually a nice surprise.
