One of my favorite records of the 2000s just got reissued and it looks as gorgeous as it sounds. Lush indie/Americana rock that transports the listener to a different time and place.

Record of the day: Sea Level "Sea Level"
The eponymous debut record from the blues/fusion group that emerged from the rubble of the Allman Brothers Band. Forming around the nucleus of pianist Chuck Leavell, drummer Jaimoe, and bassist Lamar Williams, they would release 5 albums between 1977 and 1980.

Great hard rock record from Canada's second best power trio. If you haven't seen their live performance from the 1983 US Festival, it's well worth checking out.

Record of the day: DEF LEPPARD "When The Walls Came Tumbling Down"
This live recording from April of 1980 got issued for Record Store Day last year. I'm usually hesitant when it comes to live recordings, but this one has it all: great track listing, excellent recording, and the band firing on all cylinders. I actually spin this more than the first couple of studio albums these days.
