Afternoon tea, with a twist.
Most don’t know this, but I came to the U.S. to manage the iconic tearoom at The Drake. (yes, that tearoom!) So when a dear friend asked me to plan an at-home tea party, I said yes.
Each guest was greeted with an edible es**rt card—a savory cracker that also paired beautifully with their first course: a chilled melon salad. The menu card doubled as a fun etiquette guide, covering everything from how to eat your scone to how (not) to stir your tea. A live fashion illustrator captured the afternoon’s charm, and guests took home their own custom bouquets.
