We are located in the heart of Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood since 1996. Owner and lead designer, Ananda Zoe Breslof, has been creating stunning decor for events in the Chicagoland area as well as in New York City.

June 7th we lost our family member Mathias. I’ve had him since he was nine weeks old and he passed away at about 14 1/2 years. It has been extremely hard. To say the least.

The story behind his name is sweet. My first golden retriever, Indy’s father‘s name was Mathias.
That dog was beloved by Tom McMahon, and his family farm. He was his most favorite dog by far and the best friend of Tom.
One day, Tom‘s six-year-old son was walking in the field and came across a ram. The ram knelt his head down and started scratching the dirt with his hoof.
Mathias saw this and quickly ran in the middle of the two of them and took the head butt. That saved his son. Mathias survived, but wasn’t truly the same and was so well loved and was a forever hero.
After hearing that story, my eyes welled up with tears and looked at my new little boy and said, “he shall be Mathias”.
And Mathias was just that. My best friend.

(his best friend was no doubt Emma, he always listened to her more than me. Wouldn’t have it any other way.)

We went over the weekend and were inspired by all the varieties of orchids and then some! If you know me, you know how much I have an infinity for vanda orchids. If I can tell you, they were on display, they were on display. With some huge root systems whose length was about 6 feet long. It is definitely a feel good time, made me feel a bit better. These days. Be good to yourself, check the exhibit out!

Birthday parties are the best! Especially when you are turning ONE! Oh and the view from the rooftop at is pretty spectacular if I do say so myself. Jungle theme with a custom backdrop and kings tables. Marvelous with added terracotta taper candles. Candles during the day? It is for the height and color, finishes the tables perfectly!

Fern, palm, begonia, orchid, how sweet is this idea to name your tables after flowers and plants? I suppose they are all plants some are flowering, some not as much. I adore the calligraphy, as well as the idea. It’s all in the details that make a successful intimate Wedding!

I adore these unique venues our clients choose to have their receptions in lately. Sunday’s Wedding Reception was located in the Regenstein Center for African Apes located in . How amazing! No flowers for this one, so we made custom mini pumpkin boxes filled with bittersweet, Spanish moss, two tone kale and silver dollar eucalyptus. Finished with Amber up lights, and, simply gorgeous!
Work perk, Sunday installations Emma generally goes to work with me. She learns something new each time. This week she learned how to turn on a Chauvet Well quad up light on (it takes two buttons and a bit of patience), and place moss strategically underneath a mini pumpkin on all Cabaret tables. Oh, and now she is a master at placing votive candles as well, always hold from the wick when placing to make it easier to light when ready! (Pro-tip)!
Thank you Ellen and for always being so nice to my very little intern ;) ❤️🦍
