Okay, we're a little late posting this — but we had to take a moment to soak it all in first. 😄✨

K. Carlton, Inc. had the absolute honor of partnering with World Business Chicago to execute their SelectCHI 2-day event, and y'all — it was EVERYTHING.

We had the privilege of taking 60 executives from around the world on a full Chicago experience, showing them why our city is one of the best places in the world to do business. And we did it the K. Carlton way — every detail handled, every moment intentional.

Day 1 had us starting with breakfast on the 34th floor overlooking the Chicago River, a visit to Hamburger University, and ending the night at the beautiful and historic Chicago Cultural Center. 🌆

Day 2 opened with coffee and tea on a glass-roofed riverboat and closed with a magic show parlour. Yes, really. 🪄

Behind the scenes? Our team was managing multiple bus schedules, coordinating simultaneous activities across the city, and making sure 60 global executives felt taken care of every step of the way. That's what we do.

We couldn't have done it without our amazing local partners — Fellowship Fleet, Salesforce, Nicole Jordan Catering, LLC, ICNC, Dennis Watkins' The Magic Parlour, Cajun Cafe Chicago, mHUB, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, and Kikwetu Coffee. Just to name a few. This is what community and commerce looks like when they come together. 🖤

Our team traveled to Montgomery to support this incredible experience from start to finish — managing hotel accommodations, transportation logistics, and securing a coworking space for the company’s C-suite team. From behind-the-scenes coordination to on-site event management, every detail mattered.

WDB Marketing LEGACY weekend continues to be one of our favorite events to be a part of each year.
It’s more than a gathering—it’s a powerful celebration of Black entrepreneurship, legacy building, and community connection. The energy in the room is always unmatched.

For the 2026 event weekend, the K. Carlton, Inc. team had the honor of providing planning and production for the opening night event, Legacy Talks Business Mixer. The evening highlighted family legacy businesses while celebrating 20 years of impact by WDB Marketing.

We are incredibly grateful to Keeana Barber and James Wheeler for trusting our team to bring this experience to life.

In alignment with the event’s theme of legacy, this moment was especially meaningful for our CEO, who had the opportunity to include her own family as part of the production team—bringing the concept of legacy full circle.

At K. Carlton, Inc., we’re always inspired by the precision and logistics behind large-scale live productions like the Super Bowl Halftime Show. With just 8 minutes to set up and 8 minutes to break down, every detail must be planned, tested, and executed flawlessly.
The halftime production featuring Bad Bunny was one of the most intricate we’ve seen—from the layered storytelling and scenic elements to the seamless transitions and live moments. It was a masterclass in coordination, technical ex*****on, and experience design.
Productions like this reinforce why thoughtful planning and strong production teams matter. When it’s done right, the audience only sees the magic—never the moving parts behind it.
