As wedding photographers, we have the very unique perk of spending many hours with our couples on the best day of their lives. What they may not realize is that their memories also become our memories - as witnesses and keen observers - and these moments become deeply engrained in our core, as joyful moments that live with us for a long period of time far exceeding the wedding day.

It’s been one year since R & A said “I do” at LondonHouse Chicago and they threw one hell of a party! But a moment that lives with me was at the end of the night when Rachel changed into her party dress and was getting down on the dance floor. At that moment, I saw Adam watching her with the most adoring look on his face and he said to me “please take a photo of her now, she’s just so cute 😭” It was such a raw, genuine moment rounding out an incredible day and now living rent-free in my soul.

Unpopular opinion: your photographer should NOT shoot your wedding like a photoshoot. We completely understand the desire to jam pack the timeline with every moment you ever dreamed of but when your photographer is bound to a tight timeline, it leaves no space for artistry and observation - and THAT is where the magic happens!
