I remember filthy nights in strange places. I remember psytrance next to the silos at Damen and 29th. Shady late hours at the Source compound, or at the Black Hole, long before riverside became a staple venue in the scene. Air heavy with sweat and menthol. Legs going numb to the sounds of DJ PM, Theo G, Autoaxon, Pandar, Bit[c]rush, Erk n Jerk. Throwing lights freehand style before gloves were a thing. And all I can think is- Who's throwing real undergrounds in Chicago these days?
