Specializing in couture and high-

end contemporary designs for men and women, The Dress Doctor can take any alteration to the next level by meticulously fitting and adjusting clothing to suit any figure without ruining the integrity of the garment. Specialties include precision tailoring, custom garment construction and reconstruction, repair, resizing, and bridal alterations. The Dress Doctor also provides a Wardrobe Detox service where a team of experts refresh, rejuvenate, and reorganize your wardrobe in the privacy of your home. The Dress Doctor prides itself on collaborating with both up-and-coming and established artists to design for any event. In addition to design assistance, our team will assist in both sample and production pattern-making, sending out patterns for grading and marking, and will create samples or duplicates for any runway or showroom. A small production lot can also be utilized with no minimums. From custom couture garments and wardrobe organization, to imagining and creating a new clothing line, The Dress Doctor is dedicated to making every client’s design ideas a reality through outstanding customer service and attention to detail.

Honoring a very important person today. A lot of our clients knew him as Kas but he was my uncle and like a father to me. For many years Kas helped run our show room by acting as a comfort to so many of our brides and clients, chatting away on the phone with our regulars, and keeping our schedule organized. His humor and kindness always brightened up our day and made some stressful situations a lot easier to deal with. Thank you for your time and all that you gave to our family and our business. We were lucky to have known you and miss you greatly 🥀

Happy Anniversary to this beautiful bride ♥️ .templeton came to us with an idea and with the help of the amazing team at we were able to pull off her dream dress! Her gown was originally cap sleeves so we recut it’s foundation to create a set-in sleeve and she couldn’t have looked more perfect!

Standard sizing doesn’t always allow for the easiest alterations, but with the patience of our bride (her dress was in two pieces at one point) and the fine skills of our team we were able to make Amina look effortless and beautiful for her wedding day. Our Story

About The Dress Doctor Herself

Soheila Ghofrani, also known as The Dress Doctor, has been an expert in her craft for over 30 years.

Her childhood summers were spent working for her uncle, a prominent tailor in Iran. Constantly surrounded by threads and needles, she learned French sewing techniques from both her uncle and her mother at home. Eventually Soheila decided to study Architecture, moving to the United States in 1979. To supplement her income, she would sew and make small alterations for her professors.
