When our bride shared that her family is half Cuban and the groom graduated from West Point, we knew the experience needed to feel immersive, family focused, and full of energy - and let me tell you, it was Electric!
With the Adler Planetarium and the Chicago skyline as the backdrop, the challenge was balance—honoring the architecture while softening its angular, contemporary lines. We layered in armloads of greenery and warm twinkle lights overhead to shift the space into an Intimate Old Havana–inspired courtyard, filled with texture and loads of charming details.
As the evening unfolded, the band introduced an amazing Latin singer and percussionist duo—and the energy changed instantly. The dance floor stayed packed all night.
And for the after party—
a Conga line led by the Father of the bride guided guests into the planetarium dome, where late-night croquettes and Cubano sandwiches were waiting for an out of this world ending. 🌙
