Our opening General Membership meeting for the Club Year on October 15 was a lively and informative event. Not only did we get to greet and catch up with members that we hadn’t seen over the summer, but we also learned about the history of the Bethesda Meeting House from our speaker, David Schardt, Vice President of the Bethesda Historical Society. Thanks, very much, to Program Chair, Marion Klein, for securing such a great speaker —who had quite a story to tell about this nearby landmark—for us. Have a look.

Did you ever wonder why the Potlucks at the Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase are so successful? Well, give a shoutout of appreciation to the WCCC Happy Hour/ Potluck Committee members Marlene Kaplan, Laurie Mical, Jan Novotny, and Carol Wilburn (not pictured). (Assistant Treasurer Allison McDonnell joined in the fun for this photo op.) They are a crackerjack team that makes our space inviting for our monthly dining events; they also make sure that we all don’t bring cheese and crackers for these delightful get-togethers. Thanks, so much, ladies!
