On Thursday, November 20, 2025, Bethesda Care held a Thanksgiving luncheon for many of its clients at The Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase. Members of WCCC joined other volunteers and Bethesda Cares staff in helping to serve the meals. We got started in sorting donated food staples for later distribution with coffee and donuts. When all the clients had been served their dinners, we were able to partake of the lovely meal. Whether we are learning new things, enjoying each others company, or serving our community, we have fun at the Club!

Our November General Membership Meeting was lively and productive, with successful completed October projects being heralded, and future projects/events, such as Santa’s Workshop and Upscale Resale being spotlighted. Following a tasty lunch of Mediterranean delights, we were treated to a wonderful presentation, “From the CIA to Morocco“ by our speaker Lisa Harper, formerly with the CIA. Thanks to our program chair, Marion Klein, for “uncovering” this engaging presenter. Whether we are working together on our community fundraising projects or enjoying a great lunch or hearing from a fascinating speaker, we have fun at the Club! Have a look.

In just a few hours, the WCCC Artisan Market will be open. On Sunday, November 16, 2025, forty-five talented artisans and craftspeople will have their work on display for purchase. It’s a good opportunity to start your holiday shopping—to get that one unusual thing for that special person. So, drop in to this free event, between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., to be enchanted with the array of items. Beneficiaries of this event— Betty Ann Krahnke Center for victims of domestic violence, as well as the Bare Necessities Foundation. Come on down to the Club!
