Hi everyone,

You’re invited to our Kids Market & Studio Open House — a full day of fun for the whole family!

📅 When: Saturday, October 4 | 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Where: 534 Broadway, Chesterton, IN

Here’s what’s happening:
👧🧒 Kid-Run Booths – Handmade crafts, baked treats, art, and more — all created by local kids!
🛍️ Adult Vendors – Shop unique items while supporting local small businesses.
🍦 Ice Cream Truck – Treat yourself while you shop.
🎪 Bounce House Outside – Perfect for the little ones.
🎨 Face Painting – Available all day.
🍔 Food Trucks – Grab something delicious while you browse.
🏃 Indoor Obstacle Course + Games – James O’Connor Martial Arts will be open all day with inflatables, floor-is-lava parkour, and obstacle course challenges running non-stop.

All activities inside the studio are free — shop the vendors to support our kid entrepreneurs (vendors set their own prices).

It’s the perfect chance to shop, snack, and play — and help our kids SELL OUT their tables!

Get ready to craft some serious fun — come join us for a blockin’ good time! 🎮🔥

Ages 5 and up — younger children are welcome to attend with a parent ticket.
Join us July 19, 6–8 PM for a Minecraft-themed night of fun! We’ll paint a Minecraft canvas (each child will take their painting home), play Minecraft-inspired games, and jump on the bounce houses after the art lesson.

Here are 3 tips to get your kids to listen better this holiday season.

1. **Make a Plan Together:** Sit down with your kids and make a simple plan for the holidays. Talk about what behavior is expected and how everyone can contribute to a happy time.

2. **Catch Them Being Good:** When your kids do something positive, let them know you noticed. Positive words or a small treat can go a long way in encouraging good behavior.

3. **Talk and Listen:** Have chats with your kids about their feelings and ideas. Let them know it's okay to share, and really listen when they do. When they feel heard, they're more likely to pay attention when you talk.

All of this is to support an incredible cause!
The tuition fund of NWI Learning Community connects families with funds to attend this amazing cooperative! Every child deserves the chance to attend without financial burden & your support can help make that happen!

We will also have Santa and the Grinch, a silent auction, 50/50, and food trucks!

Come take your pictures with Santa from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (or have a photographer take one for you!), meet the Grinch, get your face painted or a balloon, bid in our silent auction, visit our free puppy petting zoo & take pony ride, buy some 50/50 tickets, grab lunch or other yummy treats, sign up for a library card, do some crafts, and of course, purchase great gifts for yourself or others from our amazing vendors!!

We hope to see you there next week on November 18th! Doors open at 9 a.m.
