Can we talk about this perfect light?!? The great thing about The Barns at Mattaponi Springs is that I know every inch of the property and exactly where the light is going to come over the house at sunset! Eric + Caroline (and Fish) had the most beautiful evening engagement and I can't wait for their spring wedding! Also not sure how I get all the best couples that bring their dogs for me to play with but I love when fur babies are included!

Clark + Julia are truly a couple that lived in the joy of their wedding day moments! Smiles for family, guests, vendors all day as we basked in the joy of their happiness! As a wedding photographer you learn so much about your couples from hearing the speeches given by family and friends and I found myself nodding as I photographed speeches about how they are meant for each other, and have the same wonderful hearts. Congratulations to the Kesserys!

My favorite part of tonight was ALL OF IT! What a kick off to Pride Month, celebrating these two beautiful souls and their journey to be together in downtown RVA!

When we lost two of our elderly dogs within a year, I knew that I would always offer mini sessions at a minimum price to families that knew their time was limited with their pet. Sweet Maggie is so loved and I'm so glad they will have these memories for their boys when they're older! Always reach out if this is a session you need done, even if it's a quick need.

Friday AND the last day of school? Summer is officially here! I never post myself on this feed but it occurs to me that new clients may want to know what their photographer looks like before meeting them in a park somewhere. 😂 My summer calendar releases this afternoon with all my specialty offerings outdoors and in studio through August. I’m behind on posting the weekend, but we had all the fun in studio Saturday morning for grad and birthday minis! So much so, that I think I’m going to do $50 birthday minis each month where any kids of any age can come in and do confetti or glitter and get birthday shots!

I just love seeing this family and Kaya was an angel for her newborn session this morning! She is learning early that sometimes her brother's dinosaurs are going to make it into the photo (can you spot it?)! She snoozed through all the rawrs and we had the best time!
