✨ The Deconstructed Sugar-Covered Pear 🍐 ✨

These sweet little beauties always stop people in their tracks on a board — and the best part? They’re surprisingly easy to recreate at home.

Here’s how I do it:

Slice your pear nice and thick, keeping it all together so the seams still line up.
Slide a toothpick straight down the middle to hold everything in place, then pop the top back on like nothing ever happened.

For the sugar magic:
Simmer ½ cup water + ¾ cup sugar just until the sugar melts. Let it cool slightly.
Dip the pear to fully coat, then set it aside for 10–15 minutes until it’s sticky (not wet).
Roll in sugar, let dry — and voilà. Sparkly, crunchy, edible art.

Perfect for grazing boards, dessert tables, or just because you felt like being hostess with the mostess!

As a mom of five, I know how much we do—and how little time we have to plan the perfect Mother’s Day.
