Thanks for letting me take over ’s legacy of bringing the fruit to the annual crawfish boil. 🩵

One thing about Tai… he never showed up empty handed. Every year, he’d roll in with a giant hotel pan full of fruit, and somehow it became part of the tradition. After plates piled high with spicy crawfish, potatoes, corn, and onions, everyone would end up hovering around Tai’s fruit tray.

At some point, it just didn’t feel like a crawfish boil without it.

I was honored to take over fruit duty this year. If you’ve ever stood around a crawfish table eating cold watermelon after burning your face off with spice, then you know exactly why we had to keep the tradition going.

We missed you today, friend. 🩵🍉🦞

And thank you, Jiana, for always spoiling the people you love and bringing everyone together. Love you. 🥰
