StoneBridge School Drama StoneBridge School’s Drama program for theatre and film educational opportunities.

StoneBridge Drama is the theatre program at StoneBridge School, a private Christian school in Chesapeake, VA. The program offers performing arts training and opportunities to students, and encourages students to discover and explore the joy of sharing stories through the art forms of theatre and film. While theatre and performing opportunities arise for students in every grade at StoneBridge, Ston

eBridge Drama is an audition-based program specifically for students in grades 9-12, with occasional opportunities for younger grades, pending on the show. StoneBridge Drama produces at least two major productions every year: a film festival of student-produced films in January and a major musical in March. They also host an annual Princess Tea Party for young girls and their moms, and a series of summer camps.

Our traditional Summer Cabarets continue THIS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY and we can’t wait! Do you have your tickets yet? We have a bunch of talented StoneBridge School Drama Alumni and upperclassmen students and campers from this summer’s Musical Theatre Camp ready to perform.

Meet Evelyn! She’s a StoneBridge School alumna, and you may recognize her from previous roles like Empress Alexandra Romanov and Odette (Swan Lake ballerina) in “Anastasia,” and Specs in “Newsies.” Evelyn has also been a dance captain and choreographer for a number of performances, and was the lead choreographer for “Singin’ in the Rain, Jr” last summer!

Evelyn will be performing in the Friday cabaret this week. Performances are at The Garden Co (1101 Volvo Parkway). We hope to see you there!

This is legacy-building and legend-creation in action! StoneBridge School Drama’s Screenwriting Camp was a huge success - and even had 10 awesome alumni come back to support and provide feedback to the camp students!

This is what building a legacy looks like. All 10 alumni have previously lead or been involved in StoneBridge student films — and now they’re passing on the torch and cheering on the next group of student filmmakers!

All StoneBridge students from camp now have the opportunity to bring their original screenplays to life in our 2026-2027 Student Film Festival! Meet Kensington! She's a StoneBridge Musical Theatre Camp performer from this summer, and you may recognize her from previous roles in StoneBridge School Drama Camps like "Singin' in the Rain, Jr" and "How to Train Your Dragon, Jr." She also is a recent graduate of Norfolk Christian School and you may recognize her from performances there such as Meg March in "Little Women."
