Emily & Anthony’s Love Story ❤️
Some love stories begin with a grand romantic gesture, but Emily and Anthony’s began with a pizza delivery and a spark neither of them could have expected.
On April 16, 2018, Anthony was working a pizza delivery shift when he arrived at Emily’s freshman dorm with her order. Before they even exchanged a word, something about that moment felt special. Anthony was shy, but Emily was already smitten! With a little help from their friends playing matchmaker, Anthony got Emily’s number, and what started as a simple exchange soon blossomed into something much more.
That year, they became best friends, building a connection filled with laughter, late-night conversations, and the kind of friendship that makes life a little sweeter. Even before they officially started dating, Anthony was always looking out for Emily and making sure she got home safely. Emily, in return, loved finding little ways to make him smile, including baking his favorite treats. Without even realizing it, they were already building the foundation for a love that would last.
Their romance officially began in the summer of 2019, with adventures that brought them even closer. From a drive-in movie to a trip to Washington, DC, and an unforgettable day at Kings Dominion, their time together quickly became something they both treasured. On July 10, 2019, Anthony asked Emily to be his girlfriend, marking the beginning of a relationship that would continue to grow through every adventure, challenge, and milestone that followed.
Over the years, Emily and Anthony have discovered that happiness isn’t always found in the big, elaborate moments. Sometimes, it’s found in traveling somewhere new, trying a new restaurant, playing video games, or settling in beside each other to watch their favorite shows. Emily introduced Anthony to her reality TV favorites, while Anthony brought her into the Marvel universe. Whether they’re taking a road trip, playing Stardew Valley, or singing along to throwback songs, they’ve learned that home isn’t always a place. Sometimes, it’s simply being together.
Their little family has grown along the way, too, with two leopard geckos and three cats—Astro, Nova, and Spyro—bringing their own personalities and plenty of love into the mix. One of their favorite traditions is taking family photos in matching holiday pajamas, creating memories that are every bit as chaotic and joyful as you’d imagine!
Then came November 8, 2024, a day that would become one of the most unforgettable chapters in their story. At sunset, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the WV Glamping Domes in Alderson, West Virginia, Anthony asked Emily to spend forever with him. The celebration continued with applause at dinner, a slow dance beneath the stars, and a weekend filled with exploring caverns and celebrating this exciting new chapter with family. It was the kind of moment that reminds you how beautiful it is when your best friend becomes your forever person.
From a shy delivery driver standing at a dorm room door to two best friends preparing to become husband and wife, Emily and Anthony’s story is a reminder that the most meaningful love stories often begin in the simplest ways.
