We would like to congratulate Kolton Robinson on winning the Alabama state trap shooting competition. Way to go Kolton! Kolton is out here at the Easterwood House every week, working hard to help maintain our beautiful gardens. We would highly recommend Kolton, and his father Greg Robinson, if you're looking for any help with your yard or landscaping.

Today, Memorial Day, we recognize all those who have paid the highest cost to ensure our freedom. There is no greater sacrifice than to lay down your life in the defense of freedom and the protection of those who cannot protect themselves from the evils that lurk amongst the shadows. We also remember the sacrifices of the gold star families, who lost their courageous loved ones.

Just purchased a painting by Cherokee native Doris Ingle. Titled "Sole Survivor" it depicts the famed Hwy. 72 shoe tree. Thank you also to the Faraway Places art gallery in Iuka, Ms. for carrying such great works by local artists. Painting looks amazing in our parlor.

With all the rain we've been having lately, the flowers are really starting to bloom. The amaryllis is in full bloom, and the roses are starting to bud as well.

Hello everyone! We hope you all had a great Easter weekend. We've been doing a lot of work to the Easterwood House lately, and hope to begin hosting weddings and events next year. I'm going to begin posting updates on our progress, and hope you'll follow us through the process.
