Hey there! 👋We're Kelli + Nic Hillman, and these are our little ones Knox + Lennox. We're the owners of The White Barn Weddings + Events Venue in Cheney, KS. When we purchased this 20-acre property it was to build our forever home. Nic grew up in Cheney and we knew this friendly community was the place to raise our kids.
Originally, our vision was to have The Barn serve as our shed/shop, with The Quarters being our guest house, and where we would reside as the main home was being built. We even expanded the pond from 1/4 acre to 3 acres for fishing with friends and family. We had the perfect five-year plan!
So many people kept asking us if our barn was a wedding venue, that eventually we started toying with idea. We talked about it for a long time and eventually we saw what our friends had seen - the perfect wedding venue. The location is perfect, right off Kellogg. And on a blacktop - which is unheard of for Barn venues.
Fast forward to today, and where our future home was going to be built, will now be an awesomely paved parking lot for The White Barn. 🤣
We really want to create an easy process for couples planning their weddings. A lot has changed in the five years since we were venue hunting, but back then, it was so stressful! •No prices online •No availability online •Required vendors lists, etc.
✨How we're different:
Our venue is a blank slate for couples. We weren’t fans of being required to use certain caterers, limited menus, and having limited bar options. So, our goal is to provide the space, and give you free reign to create your dream event.
Our motto is "Your day, your way!" Couples can save on costs by choosing their own vendors: bar services, caterers, decor, DJs, etc.
We are so excited for The White Barn construction to be completed! Come see what we're so excited about and do a tour - or virtual tour via FaceTime. We’d love to meet you! While we are currently under construction, we're booking events as early as August 2020.
Seating for up to 299 guests. Indoor + outdoor celebration/ceremony areas. On-site apartment for getting ready + staying over. The final phases of construction are underway + we're booking for Fall 2020 events. Please email for more info.
